WJ Hiscock & Son Limited is a family-run property investment company that has an extensive portfolio of commercial property in South & West Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
The company’s property investments commenced in 1991 when the owner Andrew Willis acquired a small convenience store and office in Birdwell, near Barnsley. This was soon followed by the acquisition of a store it still owns, Co-operative Food, Hoyland Common.
Since then the company has specialised in acquiring convenience supermarkets. Its current portfolio includes Sainsbury’s Local, Spar, One Stop, Morrisons Daily, Heron Foods, One Stop franchise, Co-operative Food.
Past tenants have included Fulton Foods, Jacksons, Willis Supermarkets, Martin Newsagents, GT News, Stanley Racing, Betfred.
The company now has the second generation involved in its planning & decision making, ensuring its continued future development.
